Explanation of Planning

For the planning of our music video, we split up the tasks between us and worked on some parts together, whilst checking all of the separate parts of planning with each other before deciding on the final ideas. During the planning process, we decided to let Josh create the storyboards for our music video, and collectively worked on the planning Prezi that decided things such as locations, narrative and performance aspects. The shooting schedule was created by Josh and I, as we decided when are where we would shoot scenes, and would organize what equipment was needed on which day. The mise-en-scene, location and selection of actors/actresses was decided by the whole group, as we thought that these were important parts of the music video, and so all wanted to decide on them. When it came to deciding on the costumes for each character, that was mainly worked on by me because because I had already worked on the mise-en-scene that we wanted to create in an earlier planning post, and so knew what was needed for each character. However, collectively at the end of each part of the planning process, we all checked each others work and made changes when necessary. This was done so that we could all make sure that we we're both individually and collectively happy with what we had planned, and so that we could all be on the same page when it came to actually filming the music video.

Narrative Planning

Pitch

The music video will feature the lead singer as the lead male in the narrative for the video, where he goes through a break up with his relationship. The video will show the break-up, and the lead males flashbacks to happy moments of the relationship, as well as shots of him reflecting on it afterwards. The video will also have a performance aspect on top of the narrative aspect, showing the band performing in a garden summer house/shed in an urban area.
